ORTHOPEDICAL MANUAL THERAPY COURSE
“Differential diagnosis and treatment in the lumbar spine”
Aim: Differential diagnosis of pathology is critical in establishing a correct diagnosis of musculoskeletal pain syndromes in the lumbar spine. It is not enough to evaluate physical impairments; the informed physio should be performing a comprehensive examination of the spine and its regional counterparts so that he/she can fully understand what the correct treatment should be.
After finishing the course participants can:
– follow patient history and differentiate between most common causes of low back pain.
– understand and can explain chronic pain and its effect on musculoskeletal problems.
– perform thorough and systematic lumbar scanning examination for musculoskeletal and nervous system.
– plan and deliver physiotherapy sessions with manual therapy techniques.
